Our grape harvest includes seedless Sugraone, Flame and Perlette grapes, which are commonly referred to as “table grapes.” Our growing, packaging and shipping processes combine advanced technology with sustainable practices to ensure only the finest grapes are available for our clients.
The birth of our grapes
Our grapes’ journeys begin in the coastal community of Sonora, Mexico where they are grown. Our Flame grapes, the sweetest of all our grape varieties, are red, seedless and juicy, while our Perlette grapes are seedless, crisp, green and equally juicy. Both begin harvest on May 8. Sugraone grapes, which begin harvest on May 25, are known for their crisp texture and hint of sweetness.
Cooled and arranged for transportation
During harvest, our grapes are packed on the fields into our iconic Farmer’s Best blue boxes. Then, under one of the most advanced packing and shipping facilities in the industry, the grapes are placed in pallets and cooled in our packing houses to maintain freshness and protection.
The grapes go on a “cool” road trip
During the grape’s transport to the Farmer’s Best warehouse, cold chain monitoring is activated to control the shipment’s digital temperatures. This ensures the grapes are in pristine quality upon arrival. Each truck contains GPS-capabilities which allows us to track every load in real-time.
The grapes go on the second leg of their “cool” road trip
Once the grapes are ready for shipping from our warehouse to the client facilities, they are transported in trucks equipped with advanced technology for monitoring and freshness. When they are received by our clients, they are fresh and ready for retail store or restaurant display.
