Sharing Happiness
We recently organized an office-wide activity called contagiando felicidad or “sharing happiness,” where the team wrote positive and motivational messages on balloons all around the office. We wanted all of our office workers to have a colorful, happy day. More importantly, we wanted to encourage sharing happiness all year, but especially around the holidays. Our office staff discussed actions they could take in their own communities to spread happiness to others, including donating food to those less fortunate, helping someone in need with errands or planting a tree. All of our office employees agreed to follow through on these ideas. The activity was a huge success and was enjoyed by all.
Posada
Every year, Farmer’s Best gives the children of our field employees a party called a posada. This is a festive, Christmas-themed party where children from our on-site daycares and schools dress up and enjoy music, food, cake and a piñata.
Community Recreational Park
Just in time for the holidays, Farmer’s Best recently opened the first community recreational park. This park has a playground, outdoor gym equipment for adults, soccer and volleyball courts and an outdoor movie theater. The park is large enough to allow up to 500 children. We plan to build parks at all of our farms to give our employees and their families a space where they can enjoy time together.
